“I wrote this poem “Wayfinders” to celebrate and honour the growing community-led regeneration movement taking shape in many parts of the world. My poem seeks to honour the courageous and inspiring people who are embodying new ways of inhabiting our planet and harnessing collective potential to bring human systems into alignment with the natural world. It is also an invitation for all of us to respond to the call we each hear from the deeper aspect of our being, which already knows our innate oneness with the Earth and all of life.” - Urvi Kelkar
What words come to mind when you envision the future of the earth?
PRISORI
Prisori was composed by Chinese composer Bok Yang. After my 2019 premiere of Reeding the Scales, Mr. Yang approached me and asked if I could take a look at some of his music for clarinet solo. I immediately fell in love with Prisori, and I recorded it in March 2020, during the Corona virus pandemic. At this time, much of the world was shutdown, and I felt very hopeless. Music was the only way I could process all of the tragedy and the bad news that seemed to never stop. As an artist, I felt like I needed to interpret these events. Inspiration often comes when we are both suffering and have a lot of time on our hands.
Prisori’s soaring quality reminds me of a bird taking flight, yet the haunting melodies seem to ask the listener questions that are both mysterious and ambiguous, made even more pronounced by the echo effect, added by my gifted sound engineer, Michael Meurin. Perhaps it is only in making space simultaneously for both mystery and ambiguity that the answers needed to heal our earth will emerge.
AWAKENING
As a designer, the natural world is my inspiration. As I take my visual inspiration from nature, I also borrow my materials from nature. The concept of borrowing is a key feature of my designs. I borrow my colour from natural elements, using natural dying processes.
I strive to follow a circular design approach and for my designs to have a positive impact on our health and wellbeing. Having a connection with nature has proven to be a significant factor in improving mental health and wellbeing. ‘Biophilia’ is the fundamental truth that people need a relationship with nature to be happy. My designs are fully natural from visual inspiration to material choice to promote a connection with and respect for nature. All the materials and processes I have used are sustainable and environmentally friendly.”

Nature the Artist
Frederico A Roque, aka Nature the Artist, started his artistic practice in 2016 with painting, photography, video and street installations. Nature was always his source of inspiration, and elements of the natural world were already entrenched in his first steps. But it was only later that he decided to give nature full protagonism, moving away from the author's stamp, allowing this role be assumed by natural processes that happen without human intervention. It was then when he abandoned the pseudonym "Forest Dump". Today his work mirrors natural phenomena that can be found in caves, forests, in the sea, etc. And the artist only feels that he is the vehicle for exposing these works of art that already existed on the planet and that, in his opinion, do not need human manipulation to be considered true works of art!

STORIES END
«However high or distant human civilisation may go, everything ends, whilenature revives, carrying out its cycle slowly, careless of the pathetically repetitive, frenetic and vain human obstinacy in overwhelming it.»

We live at the end of nature ... the essential character of the world is changing . it took twelve thousand years to get where we are - go no farther ... along the path we have been following. never ... put our good ahead of everything else's ~

perhaps nature could someday resume its independent working ... Perhaps the temperature could someday adjust itself ... and the rain fall of its own accord.

Help us reach our goal!
UneARTh was founded to provide a platform whose reflects hope and action towards a more regenerative future
All of it has been a labor of love, and our growing team and contributing artists have been exceedingly generous with their time and skills
We would love to be able to grow our efforts and expand our impact with more in-person and virtual experiences, opportunities for artists, and climate action collaborations.
We need your help to garner the resources to do so!
Our fundraising goal for this year’s festival is $1,600.
We so appreciate you being with us.
SURVIVOR
